It is sad to know that due to the recession some vintage stores have to close their doors. This is what has happened with Carrboro’s Roulette Vintage, that has had to closed its doors due to the recession…
Crochet!
I remember that my grandmother didn’t do crochet but she liked to sew. Nevertheless, when I was little I would see while traveling in the countryside some women who would spend their time creating lovely fabrics while speaking about anything and everything. I had a neighbour when I was little whose grandmother loved doing things like in the picture. She did lots of round fabrics for the tables, little tables, sleep tables. It was awesome.
Do you have a grandma who likes still doing this, or do you like doing it yourself? I did a nice cape for my mother in crochet and also a dress in wool long ago, i was just 18 and would go visit a woman in a shop who sold wool and all kinds of tools for crochet. It was very relaxing!

Pi Number in History
Did you know that the earliest known reference to Pi occurs in an Egyptian papyrus scroll, written around 1650 BC by a scribe names Ahmes?
That Archimedes discovered it? Do you know how he discovered it?
It is so interesting to learn new things about numbers, places, people, history and ourselves!

Yesterday’s Movies
Yesterday I watched two movies:
My Name is Julia Ross and La Noche de los Girasoles.
My Name is Julia Ross (1945) is a great thriller that at times I could associate with Hitchcock's. I think it was the first time I saw this actress, Nina Foch. Is this possible? She was a Great actress. Sometimes her coldness reminds me of Dietrich. But her aaargh on the stairs is very emotional, she could show coldness and great emotions.
The place Bever..what is very eerie, in Cornwall. I would watch it again.
La Noche de los Girasoles (2006) *literally means the night of the sunflowers* is a suspenseful movie as well. I very much like Carmelo Gomez, he is great but here what really appeals is the way the movie has been constructed. Around something that happens there are different moments that lead to the moment itself. And I loved seeing the beauty of the north of Spain as well as the old manners still some youngsters have and that here they are impossible.

Some of my Favorites at Ropa Di Bu Vintage Clothing in Spain
In the US there are so many great vintage shops both in situ and oline. As well as vintage markets, they are absolutely a delice to visit. But I have found this Vintage Clothing Shop in Spain, and the website has lots of items for vintage lovers. A lot belong to the 60s, 70s and 80s fashion. I want some day to see from the 20s!
